Here is a selection of things we’re often asked:
Do you both do everything?
Our skill sets overlap a lot, and we have many of the same qualifications as PTs and in Nutrition, but you’d probably choose Lee if you want professional level kick boxing and boxing training, and Lisa if you want to try 10 different types of yoga!
For example, if you want to try Kung Fu, you’d probably choose Lee, if you want TaiQi or QiGong you’d probably choose Lisa, although we can both take these sessions
We have regularly covered each other’s sessions, and we have shared clients too. We always liaise closely to make sure clients are getting what they need.
How do I choose which trainer I want?
Hopefully you’ll get a good idea from our social media about our personalities and how we teach, and you’re quite welcome to speak to each of us before you decide, or visit us at the studio
Why are you called Rebel-PT?
Because what we offer goes way beyond just “Personal Training”:
We are qualified and experienced in
• MA and boxing
• Yoga and Pilates
• PT – Boot camp, gym, strength & resistance training
• Working with clients who are disabled, or living with chronic or life limiting illnesses
• Assistance in rehab and recovery
• Nutrition
• Life coaching
What type of clients do you have?
Everyone – from people who have never set foot in a gym to semi-professional athletes, from pregnant and post- partum women to people with disabilities and long-term illnesses. Our youngest client is 14 and our oldest is mid-eighties.
People come to us to lose weight, get fitter, tone up, train for a particular sport, rehab from injury or illness, get nutritional advice, and 101 other reasons.
I have a particular illness/injury/condition, can I still book sessions?
Yes, every client has an in-depth meeting before sessions so that we can risk assess, speak to clients’ health teams if necessary, and formulate a safe regime for them.
We are very experienced in working with clients who have particular and specific needs.
Do I have to be flexible to do yoga/pilates?
No – These types of exercise and movements are suitable for absolutely everybody – you just need an experienced teacher who understands your particular physiology, needs, and goals.
We can teach many of the traditional and modern forms yoga, and have decades of experience so you’re in safe hands while you become flexible.
How many sessions do I need?
It depends….!
If you’re training for a particular goal or just want to brush up on your yoga technique, for example, you may chose to have a block of sessions with a particular end date in mind.
On the other hand, some clients have ongoing goals or health/fitness needs, and they like to come and see us once a week or more, on more of a longer term basis.
We speak to our clients regularly about what they need and want and will always suggest options in their best interests – we want happy clients who are achieving their goals
